This month’s Beauty Box has six gorgeous beauty products with a total value of $67!
January’s Vegan Cuts Beauty Box included:
Briogeo Rosarco Milk Reparative Leave-in Conditioning Spray, $9 – This is a lightweight leave-in conditioning spray that’s enriched with rosehip, argan, and coconut oils. While there are a few unfamiliar ingredients in this product (e.g. Polysorbate 80, Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, and the ever ambiguous “fragrance”), 98% of them are actually naturally-derived (not bad, not bad). I haven’t used this yet but it smells DANG good… lawd knows my crusty, over-bleached strands need all the love they can get, lol. Will give this a whirl in the next week or so. Stay tuned. 🙂
Stinkbug Naturals Tangerine Spice Aluminum Free Deodorant Cream, $3 – I’m so glad my body chemistry recalibrated its ish, because there was a chunk of time when any deodoro containing baking soda was a no-go (I’d broke out in scary looking rashes), but now I’m all good. No idea how my bod went from that to this, but here I am in deodorant heaven (seriously, so many options). I’m diggin’ the unique spicy citrus-y scent, and it seems to really work. My only gripe is that it’s hard getting the product out of this teeny sample jar. #firstworldstinkypeopleproblems
Enfusia Muscle Bomb, $1.50 – I always save bath bombs for tub time with my tots. We all bathe together and sometimes I have to resort to bribing my kidlets with bath bombs to get their booties clean. I especially like and appreciate how the ingredients for this bomb are squeaky clean and simple. The lil’ blue specs on top are a nice touch as well… muscle bomb is probs not the most kid-friendly scent, but it turned out to be a hit.
Clarisea Deep Pore Detox Activated Charcoal Exfoliating Mask,* $5 – Mmm, love detoxy masks and facial cleansers. I decided to try this out first as a cleanser by mixing it with a bit of jojoba oil (I’m obsessed with the OCM) even though it’s recommended that you mix it with water. I really like the formula – it was lightly exfoliating and I know the activated charcoal and clay worked a bit of magic on my PMS, hormonally blotchy skin.
Goddess Garden Organics Bright Eyes Firming Eye Cream,* $18 – Of all the beauty products I use on my face, I’m prolly most obsessed with eye creams. I ain’t no spring chicken (mid-30s, yo), and keeping my under eye areas moisturized and happy is a high priority of mine. This eye cream has a nice consistency (not too thick or too light, somewhere in between) and the ingredients are all-natural and heavenly. I’m kind of smitten with the adorable packaging too (bonus points for the glass bottle!).
Jersey Shore Cosmetics Red Hibiscus Lip and Cheek Rouge,* $30 – I ADORE this brand to no end, and their products are super clean and highly effective. This all-natural lippy (and cheeky?) is highly pigmented (a little goes a long way) and contains skin-lovin’ organic oils, extracts, minerals and flowers. Check out this bold, deep brick red in action:

Overall impression: Everything together is valued at $67, which is pretty awesome! It was a lovely mix of skin care, makeup, and hair care. Box faves: JSC lip & cheek rouge (I’m a sucker for lippies and I love the all-natural formula), the detox face mask from Clarisea, and the Goddess Garden eye cream! Overall, January’s VCBB box was a hit!
